II Caribbean White Sands International Open Tournament
The Cuban Correspondence Chess Federation (FECAP) - is organizing the "II Caribbean White Sands International Open Tournament" for the participation of all ICCF players. The tournament will be played in a single phase in several sections using rating 4/26 under all ICCF Rules.
Section A for players with rating 2400 or higher
Section B for players with rating between 2300 – 2399
Section C for players with rating between 2000 – 2299
Section D for players with rating 1999 or lower
The tournament will be played on the ICCF server at triple block time control with an appropriate tournament duration according to the average rating of each group: 350 days event, with 75 days initial bank and 1 day increment for the first 50 moves is used. No guaranteed time will be available after move 50.
The game system of the II Caribbean White Sands International Open Tournament allows up to two registrations by player. Registered players grouped by rating from Higher to Lower will be allocated to groups of 11, 13 or 15 players, so that all group members have a similar rating. The player's second registration will be paired in the group following the first group. The number of groups will depend on the number of registrations.
The start date of the tournament is December 15, 2026.
The registration fee is 15 €.
Registrations
The registrations and the payment of the fees for II Caribbean White Sands International Open Tournament must be done by the DE system in the server of the ICCF opening the menu Cuba in New Events. The link leads to the registrations for II Caribbean White Sands International Open Tournament.
Inscriptions must be received no later than December 1, 2026.
Certificates
This tournament will award certificates to the top 3 in each group. The tiebreaker system will be: 1. Baumbach, 2. Sonnenborn-Berger, 3. the results of the players tied with each other and 4. the highest rating at the start of the tournament.

Convocatoria a las Elecciones a la Junta directiva de la AEAC 2026
La publicación el 1 de Agosto de 2026 abre el periodo de presentación de candidaturas para la Junta Directiva de la AEAC en el periodo 2027-30.
Las candidaturas deberán enviarse al Secretario de la AEAC, Andres Valencia Ciordia, en la forma que se indica en la convocatoria publicada en nuestra web. Las condiciones indispensables que debe cumplir cualquier candidatura presentada son:
La fecha límite para la presentación de candidaturas es el 1 de octubre de 2026.
Las fechas clave del proceso electoral son:
1. 1 de agosto de 2026. Publicación de la convocatoria de Elecciones.
2. 1 de agosto hasta 1 octubre. Plazo para la presentación de candidaturas a Junta Directiva de la AEAC en el periodo 2027-30.
3. 30 octubre. Se publicará el Informe de gestión de la Junta Directiva saliente.
4. 30 octubre. Se publicarían las candidaturas aceptadas a Junta Directiva de la AEAC en el periodo 2027-30 y su programa electoral.
5. 15 de noviembre hasta 7 de diciembre. Se procedería a la votación de la gestión on-line del Informe de Gestión de la Junta Directiva por parte de los señores (para poder ejercer el derecho a voto hay que estar corriente de pago de la cuota de Socio AEAC 2026).
6. 15 de noviembre hasta 7 de diciembre. Se procedería a la votación on-line por parte de los señores socios de las candidaturas presentadas a Junta Directiva de la AEAC en el periodo 2027-30. (para poder ejercer el derecho a voto hay que estar corriente de pago de la cuota de Socio AEAC 2026).
7. 13 de diciembre se produciría la asamblea ordinaria ONLINE en la que la Junta Directiva saliente expone a grandes rasgos (el informe detallado ya se publicó anteriormente) los resultados de su gestión y validará el resultado de la votación de los señores socios.
8. 13 de diciembre asamblea extraordinaria, a continuación de la ordinaria, en la que se validará la votación de la nueva Junta Directiva.
9. 1 de enero de 2027. Inicio del mandato de la Nueva Junta directiva de la AEAC.
