ASIGC is delighted to announce the "Giuseppe Siviero Memorial" (1954-2025).
He was a SIM and ASIGC Board Member.
The tournament is played in one stage on the ICCF Webserver.
Based on the ICCF Rating List 2026/3, registered players will be grouped by rating and allocated to sections of 13 players, in ranking order from highest to lowest, ensuring that all players within a section have a similar rating.
Each player may submit up to two entries. In the case of a second entry, the player will be assigned to the section following the one in which the first entry was placed.
If necessary, the groups with low rated players will be played with Silli system.
Tournament description
- ICCF standard time control 10 moves in 40 days with duplication after 20 days is used.
- 45 days of leave per year are available to each player.
- There is no special leave in this event.
- Linear conditionals can be entered.
- This tournament allows claims based on the seven-piece tablebase.
- The event will be rated and if the criteria are met, it will be possible to achieve ICCF title norms.
- If needed, adjudicators will be selected by the server.
- Other participants can see the games after 10 games are finished in the event.
- The public can see the games after 10 games are finished in the event and games are finished.
- The tournament will start on 30.09.2026. There is no end date.
The tie-breaking system will be applied in the following order:
- Baumbach
- Sonneborn–Berger
- Results among tied players
- Highest rating at the start of the tournament
Registrations
The tournament is open to all players.
All entries may be made by Direct Entry on the ICCF server by opening Italy menu in New Events. Entries are not permitted by email.
Entry fee for Direct Entry system is 10 Euro (in the case of NF Entries, this is the responsibility of NF).
Closing date for Direct Entry is 15th September 2026.
After that date any registrations received by the tournament organizer will only be confirmed so that groups may be balanced.
Awards
Electronic certificates will be awarded for the top three placed of each section (score above 50% required, tie-break applies).
