ICCF Caribbean Tropical Sun 2025

The Cuban Correspondence Chess Federation (FECAP) are pleased to announce an International Tournament. Correspondence chess players from all countries are warmly invited to participate in the "Caribbean Tropical Sun 2025 International Tournament"
The Tournament will be played in a single phase using ICCF Rating List 2025/1 with 4 sections:
Section A for players with rating 2400 or higher
Section B for players with rating 2300 – 2399
Section C for players with rating between 2000 – 2299
Section D for players with rating 1999 or lower
The tournament will be played on the ICCF server at triple block time control with an appropriate tournament duration according to the average rating of each group: 350 days event, with 75 days initial bank and 1 day increment for the first 50 moves is used, no guaranteed time after move 50.
The tournament will be rated and valid to obtain the norms for ICCF titles in groups that meet all the conditions required by the ICCF.
Registered players grouped by rating will be allocated to groups of 11, 13 or 15 players in ranking order, so that all group members have a similar rating. The number of groups will depend on the number of registrations. Up to 2 registrations will be allowed, with the second registration the player will be paired in the group following the first group.
The start date of the tournament is March 30, 2025.
Registrations
The registrations and the payment of the fees for Cuban Tropical Sun International Tournament 2025 must be done by the DE system in the server of the ICCF opening the menu Cuba in New Events.
The registration fee is 9 €.
Inscriptions must be received no later than March 10, 2025.
Certificates
This tournament will award certificates to the top 3 in each group. The tiebreaker system will be: 1. Baumbach, 2. Sonnenborn-Berger, 3. the results of the players tied with each other and 4. the lowest rating at the start of the tournament.

AEAC - Convocatorias Abiertas Febrero 2025
Torneos de Inscripción Permanente Nacional
Los Torneos de Inscripción Permanente Nacional están abiertos a todos los Socios Activos de la AEAC 2025. La inscripción a estos torneos es gratuita.
Se estructuran en tres categorías: Abierta (Elo ICCF inferior a 1750 o sin Elo ICCF), Preferente (Elo ICCF entre 1750 a 2049) y Maestro (Elo ICCF superior a 2049).
Los grupos de estos torneos son de 7 jugadores y se inician en cuanto se completa un nuevo grupo. El número de inscritos en la lista de espera y la fecha de inicio del último grupo de cada categoría se puede consultar en el menú Información de Torneos de nuestra web.
El campeón de un grupo de Inscripción Permanente recibe un diploma de la AEAC.
Las inscripciones a estos torneos se deben hacer mediante el formulario de inscripción que se incluye en la convocatoria.

AEAC - Convocatorias Abiertas Febrero 2025
Match Amistoso España - Países Bajos 2025
Se ha concertado un match amistoso con Países Bajos a 25 o 30 tableros abierto a todos los socios activos de 2025 de la AEAC.
La Dirección Técnica de la AEAC recuerda que la participación en un encuentro por Equipos representando a la AEAC, como este match Amistoso, es una gran responsabilidad por dos motivos: el respeto que se debe tener por el esfuerzo de sus compañeros de equipo y el hecho de defender el prestigio de la AEAC. Esta responsabilidad exige que los socios integrantes del equipo sean mucho más cuidadosos en la elección de sus planteos y en la verificación de sus análisis que en sus partidas individuales. Por este motivo, la Dirección Técnica de la AEAC rechazará la inscripción de los socios que hayan perdido por tiempo una partida, sin causa de fuerza mayor justificada, en un encuentro internacional en los últimos dos años.
El match se disputará en el servidor de la ICCF. El tiempo de reflexión es 40 días para cada 10 movimientos.
En cada tablero se disputarán dos partidas, una con blancas y otra con negras, contra el mismo adversario. Los emparejamientos de los tableros se harán procurando que la diferencia de ELO Los emparejamientos de los tableros se harán intentando que se enfrenten jugadores de ELO lo más similar posible según el listado 2025-1 sea lo menor posible.
El torneo está habilitado para la introducción de jugadas condicionales.
La inscripción a este match amistoso es gratuita y se cerrará el 28 de Febrero de 2025. Un socio puede jugar en 1, o 2 tableros. En caso de que el número de inscritos supere el número de tableros previsto se primará que participe el máximo número de socios.
El match se iniciará el 21 de Marzo de 2025.

ICCF First England International Triple Block Open
The English Federation for Correspondence Chess (EFCC) is pleased to announce the First England International Triple Block Open. England cordially invites correspondence chess players from all countries to participate in this tournament.
Entry
All entries may be made by Direct Entry (go to 'New events' 'England') or through a player's National Federation. Entries are not permitted by email.
Each player may enter a maximum of two groups. Players making a second entry will be placed in the group immediately after their first group where possible.
The closing date for entries is 20th May 2025. Pairings will be issued as soon as possible after that date
The official start date is 20th June 2025.
Entry fee
The entry fee is 9.00 Euros by Direct Entry for each entry. Each National Federation can specify their own entry fee.
Rules
All ICCF rules shall apply to all games. If needed, adjudicators will be selected by the server.
Organisation
Registered players will be grouped by rating using the ICCF 2025/2 rating list. Players will be placed in groups of 11, 13, or 15 players in rating order so that all group members have as similar a rating as possible.
Time control
The event will be played in one stage on the ICCF server with each group being played using the Triple Block time control with a tournament duration of 350 days. No guaranteed time will be available after move 50.
Rating and Norms
All groups will be rated. Norms for ICCF titles will be available in all groups that meet the criteria required by the ICCF.
Prizes
No prize money is being offered. Certificates for the top three players in each group will be available subject to those players obtaining a positive score. The tiebreaker system for tied players will be: 1. Baumbach; 2. Sonneborn-Berger; 3. the results of the players tied with each other; 4. the lowest rating of the tied players in the group at the start of the tournament.
All chess players are heartily invited to enter this event, both for the enjoyment of games and for friendly contact/communication with players around the world.
Countries are kindly asked to give the event wide publicity to their players, and to forward entries as soon as they receive them. Thank you.

The Preliminary and Semifinal round will be played by webserver with the ICCF Triple Block system for a 700 day event, with player's clock 50 days - 50 days initial bank and 5 days increment for the first 50 moves is used.
The Final round will be played by webserver with the pace 50 days 10 move.
The event will be rated with title norms, which are usually possible at the Semifinal and Final stages.
Allocation of players to the Preliminary sections will be made as random as possible; however geographical distribution as well as an achievement of reasonable equality of the average rating will be taken into account.
The Preliminary stage will start on 25th November 2024.
Each group will consist of 7-11 players

All players are eligible to enter.
Players may register in the usual way through ICCF registration system (select “Register by Direct Entry” or “Register via National Federation”). Tournament fee for Direct Entry: 9 Euros.
Multiple entries are allowed up to the number of preliminary sections. However, one player only can qualify twice to the Semifinal stage.
Registration will begin immediately and will close on 10th November 2024.
Rating list 2024/4 will be applied.
All Preliminary groups will finish on 25th Oktober 2026.
The Semifinal round will be started on 25th November 2026. Each group will consist of 9-15 players. All Semifinal groups will finish on 25th Oktober 2028
The Final round will be started on 25th November 2028 With 13-17 players
All groups of the Preliminary and Semifinal stages start on the same day.
Each group winner will be promoted to the next round together with the best runners-up of the groups (as decided by the tournament organiser).
Tie breaking procedures (1.3.4.):
- a. number of wins by each tied player in the tournament (the Baumbach tie-breaking system)
- b. if after “a” the tie persist, then the points evaluation by the Sonneborn-Berger-System,
- c. if after “b” the tie persists, then the results of the tied players against each other.
Prizes
The group winners of the Preliminary stage and of the Semifinal stage win a prize, paid as ICCF Vouchers or suitable prizes provided by our sponsors.
Cash prizes are only available to those with a acceptable route of payment, otherwise payment will be made in ICCF vouchers.
Tie-breaks will not be applied in respect of these cash prizes and instead those players scoring equal points will equally share any prize money due.
Qualification
The winner of the Final round has the right to take part in the Final round of the next correspondence chess World Cup tournament without paying any entry fee. Participants in the Final stage have the right to take part in the intermediate stage of the next correspondence chess World Cup tournament.
Additionally, participants in a World Cup Final can achieve qualifications to participate in World Correspondence Chess Championship Semifinals and/or Candidate sections.
